Lunch on a sandbank in the lagoon

Sandbanks are strips of white sand that appear in the lagoon at low tide, with nothing on them but sky and shallow turquoise water. The boat takes the group out from Dhangethi and sets up shade and a picnic on the sand, with time to swim, snorkel the edges of the bank and walk barefoot along the water.

The sandbanks shift with the seasons and the tide, so the crew chooses the best one on the day. Bring sun protection; there is very little natural shade.
